I dont think China will remain poor for very long. Their industry is booming and in 20 years they will probably outgrow the US. 1 billion chinamen....

but you would need a LOT more money than the US to get 1billion people well employed and out of poverty. The US hasnt' managed that with 300million yet
Well. I dont want to start a political flame war here, but if the US really wanted people to not be poor, it could easily accomplish it. Sadly, new shiny guns are deemed more important.

In only a few years Chinas middle class will be larger than the US middle class.
In otherwords China will have 100 times more money than the US.
It will definently be an interesting future.

Yes, a very poor country with booming international trade and skyscapers everywhere. All at the exploitation of the people.
Actually, this is the same way the US built their economy. Except they imported them from Africa...
